I did go to your memorial service in Leeds a few months ago. Seemed a bit Christian to me, and I hope you'll note with 'glee' that I did say eek when I saw a vicer appear to give your euligey. Surley it should have been a demon!
You and I had some interesting times together. We knew each other for 20 years and as good friends for at least 10 of those. Remember 'sneaking', being arrested together, doing questionable things with airguns and meeting in the Triangle together? Who'd have thought either of us ever ended up doing anything respectable. Me a barrister and you a journalist.
I guess I'm just posting to mark the loss of a good childhood friend. I won't forget being your friend. 'Of all the soules I encountered in my travels, yours was the most human.'

I was friends with Tom when we were both teenagers. Although it must have been 7 years since I last saw him. I will always remeber him and may you move forward into broad sunlit uplands.
